charming stay
convenient location excellent staff quiet place
the location proved convenient, especially being directly across from the ashmolean museum. my luggage was stored after checkout, which allowed me to explore before my train trip. later, when i needed help with cancelled flights, the staff offered a quiet place and brought me a much needed glass of wine.
i noticed some areas could use a little refresh, but this was a very minor point in an otherwise excellent stay.

The room had a king bed that was super comfortable and very clean. I slept soundly. it offered good value, and i found the room relaxing after a long day. There was also a great view.

The hotel had various facilities, including a bar and a restaurant where complimentary prosecco was offered. porters and doormen were polite. there were also options for dining nearby.

attentive staff device outlet
The hotel staff was very attentive. They promptly assisted with parking arrangements, offering valet service. My room had plenty of convenient outlets for devices on both sides of the bed. The bathroom was notably gorgeous (loved the design).

consistent experience
attentive staff concierge service central situation
staff members were consistently attentive and met my needs. The concierge services stood out in particular. The hotel's central situation facilitated easy access to nearby attractions, something i value greatly.
i noticed some slight wear in the hallway carpeting , though it did not impact my room.

dated decor heating air conditioning
The breakfast buffet was decent. I suppose that met expectations.
I had issues with the room temperature. It was too warm. the air conditioning only heated the room. i opened a window in february, but that hardly helped. The decor did not help. i think the interior design failed. it looked quite dated.
